Secret reeds in Zamárdi

Peace and quiet, even in peak summer

Zamárdi is often associated with lively beaches and summer festivals – and rightly so. The town is growing fast, with new apartments, promenades, and paved streets. Yet, hidden among all this development, there are still quiet corners of untouched nature waiting to be discovered.

Close to the Bonrila Sun apartment, there are a few secret spots you can reach on foot: little peninsulas, reed-fringed bays that most visitors never notice. Bring a foldable chair, sit down, and just listen – birdsong, gentle water sounds… pure calm.

You don’t need any special gear, it’s not a hike – just an open mind and a little time. These places are beautiful in spring and autumn, but even in the hottest summer days, they stay pleasantly cool thanks to the reeds and the water nearby.

If you enjoy photography, you’ll find stunning light and atmosphere here, especially in the early morning or at sunset.
