Siófok Palm & Banana Garden
Siófok’s Hidden Oasis – The Palm & Banana Garden
When beach weather is out, Siófok has a little-known gem: the Palm & Banana Garden.

Tucked into a private home’s garden over 3.5 years, cared for by plant enthusiast Dr. Bálint Magyar, this exotic oasis boasts palms, banana trees, orchids, and more.

We visited in spring—when there wasn’t much greenery yet—but the garden’s atmosphere stayed with us. The gentle water trickles, goldfish gliding in a small pond, the fresh air—it’s truly calming. The walking paths invite you to pause and reconnect.
Bálint, with his horticultural background, is happy to chat about his plants and share care tips with visitors.
